2021 Toyota Innova: New Family Favorite

The best-selling multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is now even better with the new updates. Toyota Motor Philippines has already sold more than 240,000 units of Innova, making it the number one vehicle in the segment. Even though the number is still growing fast, Toyota just won’t just sit back and relax, and has just released the new, updated 2021 Toyota Innova to the Philippines back in February.

The already good-looking Innova is made even better with the new LED headlamps, LED front fog lamps, and redesigned side turn signal lamps. The front grille is now more sporty and dynamic looking. Also new is the rear combination lights with a black outline redesign. And to complete the exterior update, there’s a newly-designed 16” set of alloy wheels for G and E variants.

V and G variants now have a classier interior look, thanks to the new two-tone Noble Brown + Black color. There’s also a new audio system that is Apple Carplay/Android Auto ready. Aside from those updates, nothing else has changed in the interior of the new Innova. Although the interior does not disappoint because it’s already impressive even before. It even comes with a very useful foldable seatback table with a cup holder and a push start button for an easy on/off.

Like the safety features in the previous model, the new Innova has SRS airbags on all variants (7 for the V variant), 3-pt. ELR seatbelts, Anti-Lock Brake System with Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, and Hill-Start Assist Control. For safer parking, they added a reverse camera and sonar sensors to V and G variants.

The engine remains the same. It is still powered by the ever-reliable 2.8L diesel engine, producing 171 hp and 360 Nm of torque, with two drive modes—Eco and Power.

The new Innova may not have a multitude of updates, but it shouldn’t matter. It still has all the right ingredients to win the hearts of many Filipino, which is why it’s still the main choice for thousands of Filipino families. For many happy Innova customers, the Innova is more than just a people mover – it’s a faithful road companion; part of many stories and adventures.
