LTFRB Plans to Ban Small Cars, Hatchbacks From Uber And Grab

It’s looking to out the minimum acceptable displacement at 2000cc

The Land Transportation And Franchising And Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is mulling banning small cars and hatchbacks from TNCs like Uber and Grab.

Many Grab and Uber drivers will be potentially affected by such a ruling as small cars and hatchbacks are preferred by drivers because of their relatively affordable price tags. Many of the said vehicles are also very fuel efficient, thanks to their smaller engines.

Grab and Uber have not announced official reactions to the proposal yet.
