Wunder Ceases PH Operations

They have no plans of coming back for now

UPDATE: Wunder’s platform and support channels will be available until July 12.

The start of the work week shocked commuters. Carpool app Wunder announced that it is ceasing its operations, and that their platform and support channels will be operational until June 28. Wunder is based in Germany, and has been operating in the Philippines since 2016.

In its FAQ page, they explained that they are ceasing their operations in Manila to “focus our resources in other mobility niches, in order to accelerate our vision of a better mobility ecosystem worldwide.”

In addition, Wunder also said that they have no plans of coming back for now—though they remain open in improving mobility and public transportation around the globe.

“Our commitment to mobility doesn’t stop here; we work with several products and will be pursuing more solutions to help benefit communities everywhere.”

Prior to this announcement, LTFRB issued a cease and desist order against Wunder last December 2017, explaining that Wunder’s operations is considered as colorum.
