Move over Labubu: This Furry Robot should be Hanging on your Bag

Move over Labubu: This Furry Robot should be Hanging on your Bag

There’s a cute bag accessory coming for Labubu’s crown–say hello to Mirumi. Shown off during this year’s CES, Mirumi is a cute robot toy that was designed to “recreate people’s joyful experiences of noticing a human baby as he/she tries to interact with them”. So essentially, it’s weaponized adorable, and hell, who wouldn’t fall in love with it?

Mirumi is made by Japanese company Yukai Engineering, and clings to the handle or strap of your bag like the cutest sloth ever. It uses an internal sensor that recognizes its surroundings for people and objects, and it latches on to people’s faces when it recognizes them. It shows interest in you, though if you’re too sudden in your movements or are too aggressive when it comes to touching or petting it, it shies away from you.

Yukai Engineering says that the robot was inspired by the feeling of making eye contact with a cute baby in public. And with a price of just $70(~Php 4.1k) when it ships mid-2025, it’s not going to cost an arm and a leg to have this cute little bundle of joy in your bag.
