After we talked about the best unlimited data packs for prepaid subscribers in 2025, we got comments on our Facebook page asking about the best no expiry data packs in the Philippines for 2025. We understand you: some people prefer a data pack that they can use anytime within the year as a backup internet solution.
Unlike unlimited data packs, only Smart and GOMO offer no expiry data packs for prepaid subscribers. That being said, let’s compare what they have to offer:
GOMO
GOMO’s usual no expiry data packs are either 15GB or 30GB, which is priced at Php 199 and Php 399 respectively. There’s a bundle pack that has 25GB no expiry data, 100 minutes of calls and 500 texts for Php 499.
Aside from those offerings, some users get special no expiry data packs once in a while. In our case, we have offers for the 40GB and 55GB data packs that are priced at Php 459 and Php 599 respectively. Unlike Smart’s Magic Data offerings, one of the advantages of GOMO’s no-expiry data packs is that you can convert your GB allocation into things like roaming data, gift certificates, subscription packages, and more.
Smart
Smart has Magic Data and Magic Data+, with the latter adding calls and texts. Smart has a broader set of no expiry data packs, where you can get 2GB of no expiry data for Php 99. Their 24GB no expiry data has the same price as GOMO’s 30GB data pack, and their 60GB data pack is Php 100 more expensive than GOMO’s 55GB data pack.
Smart also has broader options for no expiry data bundles with calls and texts: for the 2GB version, you just add Php 50 to get 50 minutes of calls and 50 texts. Their Php 499 pack gives you 24GB data, 200 minutes calls, and 200 minutes of texts–making them offer better value than GOMO’s offering if your priority is bigger allocations for calls and texts.
While you can’t convert Magic Data, Smart has more unique Magic Data packs that are specific to certain apps, which is ideal for users of apps like Meta apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp), Google Apps (GMail, YouTube, Waze), TikTok, and Mobile Legends.
Which has better no expiry data packs?
On paper, GOMO offers better value overall if you’re talking about data alone and allowing you to convert unused GB for other things. However, Smart gives you more options on the amount of no expiry data you’ll need–and its bundles with calls and texts have better value compared to GOMO’s sole no expiry bundle.
