After the first iteration of the chipset first came out in its predecessor, it makes sense that the all-new Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset is set to release in the Redmi Note 12R. Interestingly enough though, the more accessible R version comes with a beefier processor. What are the details behind this?
As of now, the existence of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, much less its installation in the upcoming smartphone, are all rumors. The device is said to come with the reworked 4 nm chipset for improved power efficiency over the previous generation model. To add to that, you may be able to configure the device itself with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If that’s not enough for you, then there’s a microSD card slot available to store all your favorite content and media.
That means you can take shots with the 50-megapixel camera to your heart’s content, without ever worrying about deleting files. For a long time, that is. Besides that, other notable specs include a 6.79-inch Full HD+ display with a 5,000 mAh battery onboard as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. As of now, we’re expecting some form of fast charging capability but aren’t too sure about the wattage yet.
This device will be available in three distinct colors: Midnight Black, Sky Fantasy and Time Blue.
China Telecom states the phone should be out by the end of the month. While we haven’t seen specific info on global availability yet, prices are as follows:
- 4/128GB: CNY 1,100 (PHP 8,500)
- 6/128GB: CNY 1,200 (PHP 9,272)
- 8/128GB: CNY 1,600 (PHP 12,362)
- 8/256GB: CNY 1,800 (PHP 13,907)
