Cherry Mobile’s not just a local brand
If you think that Cherry Mobile is limited strictly to the Philippines, you’re wrong – the company has an official presence in several other countries including Cambodia, Thailand and now, Myanmar. Their One smartphone is actually Google’s gateway phone to expanding the Android One initiative in Myanmar, and as far as we can tell, it’s the only phone that’s part of the Android One program in that part of the world.
With Cherry Mobile’s One entry into Myanmar, Google’s Android One initiative has now expanded to eight countries. Cherry Mobile is offering their One smartphone in Myanmar for around Ks109,000, or Php 4430. The Cherry Mobile One was officially launched in the Philippines earlier this year, along with MyPhone’s Uno smartphone. You can read our review of the Cherry Mobile One right here.
