Android One Phones Also Getting Android Marshmallow Update Next Week

Good news One, Uno and One G1 owners!

Wondering when your Android One smartphone will get Marshmallow? Good news – Google has confirmed that Android One devices will get the company’s newest OS along with its Nexus devices next week. While Google already announced several of its Nexus devices will get Marshmallow by next week during their official event a few days ago, they didn’t say anything about Android One devices until they published the official blog post on the Android developers blog.

That means owners of Cherry Mobile’s One, One G1 and MyPhone’s Uno should be able to ride the Marshmallow wave that’s expected to hit next week. Marshmallow brings incremental improvements to the Android experience, which includes Doze, drastically reducing the amount of battery life used when not in use.

Want Marshmallow ahead of everybody else? You can still grab Cherry Mobile’s One, One G1 and MyPhone’s Uno before the scheduled update next week.

Finally, I won’t anymore seeing those ‘insufficient memory’ messages, ha ha ha!
Although the current class 10 micro sd cards being sold on the street are still too slow to function as internal memory.
