ASUS kicks off 2020 with an all-new Platinum Protection Warranty for all ASUS, ROG or ExpertBook Laptops purchased starting January 1. For this new warranty program, users get additional coverage for accidental damage within the first year of the warranty at no additional cost on top of the default two year global warranty.
Called Local Accidental Damage Package (LADP), this covers accidental damage such as drops, falls or other collisions, liquid and electrical damage, and even acts of nature such as earthquakes, floods, and typhoons. Under this package, ASUS will shoulder 100% of the labor cost and 80% of the part replacement cost and can be claimed once within the first year of the warranty.
