ASUS managed to steal the show in COMPUTEX this year thanks to their hotly anticipated gaming device, the ROG Phone. Packed with all the bells and whistles that a mobile gamer could ever want (plus a few extra accessories), the ROG Phone is fast becoming the top device in every gamer’s wishlist.
The only thing missing though was the price. Well, today ASUS announced pricing of the device during its official China launch, and well, let’s just say you’ll be paying top dollar for it.

The base model of the phone with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at RMB 5,999, or around Php 47.3K without taxes. The higher-end variant with 512GB of storage pushes the price up even further, up to RMB 7,999 or Php 63K.
If you want the phone with all of the accessories that come with it, you can opt for the limited-edition E-Sports variant, which comes in at a whopping RMB 12,999, or Php 102K.
Obviously the pricing of ASUS’ first gaming phone is a bit steep, but then again the ROG brand itself isn’t exactly what you’d call affordable. ROG products are premium products made for a select niche, so the phone’s pricing isn’t that surprising.
