When TECNO announced the Camon 20 series early this month, they did not reveal any pricing save for confirming that the global price of the Camon 20 Pro is at $300(~Php 16.8k), where it was made available initially in Nigeria. With its debut in India, it turns out that there’s a possibility that the price might be lower once it arrives in the Philippines soon.
With the launch in India, the vanilla Camon 20 is priced at RS 14,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, which translates to around Php 10.2k when converted. As for the Camon 20 Pro 5G, it will be priced at RS 19,999(~Php 13.6k) for the 128GB model and Rs 21,999(~Php 14.9k) for the 256GB model. Based on those prices, the Camon 20 Pro 5G has the more competitive pricing, especially for the 256GB model.
To recap, both the Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro 5G have a 6.67-inch 120hz AMOLED display, 64-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, 32-megapixel selfie camera, IP53 rating, 8GB RAM, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 33w charging.
The main difference is with the processor, where the Camon 20 gets an Helio G85 processor while the Camon 20 Pro 5G gets a Dimensity 8050, which is the new name for the Dimensity 1300. Aside from that, the Pro model also adds OIS on the main camera, along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an in-display fingerprint scanner–the vanilla 4G model comes with a QVGA depth sensor and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As for the possible price of the Camon 20 Series in the Philippines, we do hope that TECNO manages to match the price in India, where the Camon 20 Pro 5G should be priced at around Php 16k locally.Â
