The wait for TECNO’s much-awaited CAMON 40 series is over, as the brand confirmed that it is coming to the Philippines on April 23. We’re excited particularly with the CAMON 40 Pro 5G, as it is said to be one of the top midrange phones for photography, scoring 146 in DxOMark.

On top of that, TECNO is stepping up its update commitment for the entire CAMON 40 series with 5 years of security updates and 3 Android updates.
To recap, the CAMON 40 Pro 5G has a 50-megapixel LYT-700C main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide with 3cm macro shooting, and a dedicated AI Snap Sensor to make it responsive in fast shooting scenarios. You also get a dedicated FlashSnap button to help you capture fast-moving images. Making it a potential content creator powerhouse is a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus.
You also get potent internals on the CAMON 40 Pro 5G with its use of a Dimensity 7300 processor that’s paired with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 5200mAh battery that supports 45w charging. It also has a premium display as well with a 144hz Full HD+ curved AMOLED panel. TECNO also claims that they made the CAMON 40 series’ battery more durable, being able to retain 80% of its capacity after 5 years.
We’re still waiting for the official price of the CAMON 40 series in the Philippines, and we hope the Pro 5G version is priced within the Php 20k mark so stay tuned.
