Another gem smartphone from Cherry Mobile
Cherry Mobile has unveiled another “gem” themed smartphone via their Facebook page the other day – the Topaz. The Topaz has mostly identical specifications to the recently announced Amethyst, differing mostly in the design of the device.

Like the Amethyst before it, the Topaz does not list the amount of RAM inside it, which may mean that it may have the same rumored 256RAM as with the Amethyst. Then again, there’s no listing for the dual-SIM capability either and it doesn’t really make sense for CM to release an identically spec’d smartphone, so there may be a chance that the Topaz may have at least 512MB of RAM but would only have a single SIM.
Looking at the image that the company released, it also seems apparent that they will be continually releasing new smartphones named after gems – the question here is will the company’s new gem lineup be composed of budget smartphones or will they release mid-end models as well?
