As GoPro’s smallest, lightest, and simplest to use action camera, the Hero has an LCD display with a one-button control (aka the shutter button) for easy operation. It only weighs 86 grams with the built-in mounting fingers, and is waterproof for up to 5 meters, making the Hero live up to GoPro’s durability. Aside from being able to shoot 4K and 1080p video, you can also shoot 12-megapixel photos and slo-mo footage at 2.7k resolution in 60 frames per second. Aside from that, you can grab 8-megapixel photos from your 4K video footage. You also get access to HyperSmooth Video Stabilization with the GoPro Quik App, along with a runtime of 100 minutes on a single charge.
As for the Hero13 Black, it is capable of capturing slo-mo footage at up to 400FPS in 720p and adds a magnetic latch mount to give you more mounting options for the Hero13 Black. You also get support for WiFi 6, along with support for Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR Video.
Another main highlight of the Hero13 black is its Lens Mods, where you can choose between an Ultra Wide lens (Php 6,590), Macro Lens (Php 8,590), or an Anamorphic Lens (Php 8,590). You also have the option for a set of ND Filters (Php 4,690) to help you creator cinematic motion blur.
The GoPro Hero is priced at Php 13,990, while the Hero13 Black is priced at Php 25,990 for the camera alone and Php 38,990 for the Creator Edition. The former will be available starting September 23, while the latter will be available starting September 11. The Ultra Wide Lens Mod, Macro Lens Mod and the ND Filter 4-Pack are sold separately from HERO13 Black and will be locally available beginning September 11. Anamorphic Lens Mod will be available in 2025.
Both cameras will be available at GoPro Official LazMall and Shopee Mall Stores and at GoPro Authorized Partners nationwide—Abenson, Camerahaus, Colours Foto, Digimap, Electroworld, JG Super Store, Henry’s Cameras, Inbox, Infomax, Power Mac Center, R.O.X., SM Gadgets, TechPro Unlimited, Timeline, Urbangiz, and more.
