HMD Says It’s Going to be an Awesome 2018 for Nokia

We Hope the Hype Is Real

There’s absolutely no denying that 2017 was definitely the comeback year for Nokia. They started the year off strong by stealing the show at Mobile World Congress and showing off their new take on a classic device — the Nokia 3310 — plus, releasing their new line of smartphones. While we’ve already gotten a look a the promising 2018 version of the Nokia 6, which now comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor at its core, it looks like we have more to look forward to and it all starts at Mobile World Congress 2018.

Juho Sarvikas is the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global sent the tweet that you see above a couple of days ago. While he understandably wants to keep things under wraps, their current track record can mean only good things for the company and the Nokia brand. We’re most likely going to see the 2018 versions of the Nokia 3 and 5 on the floor of MWC, but we’re hoping that they use the massive gathering to unveil the much awaited Nokia 9 as well.

Let’s all hope that the hype the brand is building lives up to the expectations.
