HONOR expands the Play5 series with the announcement of the Youth edition in China. Despite its name, the Play5 Youth has slightly better specs than the previously announced Play5 5G.
HONOR Play5 Youth Specs:
- MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor
- 8GB RAM
- 128GB/256GB storage
- 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD display, 120Hz refresh rate
- 64-megapixel f/1.9 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor
- 16-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera
- 4G, 5G
- WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC
- Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- 4300mAh battery
- 66w charging
- Android 11, MagicUI 4.2
Looking through the Play5 Youth’s spec sheet, this phone shares a lot of similarities with the X20 5G that was announced last August save for having a dual-rear camera setup that ditches the 2-megapixel macro camera and a rectangular camera module.
That being said, the Play5 Youth is powered by a Dimensity 900 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. You get a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD display with 120hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 coverage, and a pill-shaped punch-hole for the 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
The dual rear camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor, and keeping the lights on is a 4300mAh battery with support for 66w wired charging.
