Huawei Mate 9 with Kirin 960 Chipset to be Unveiled on November 8

Not to be outdone by fellow Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, Huawei is expected to release their flagship phablet, the Huawei Mate 9, on November 8, just over a month after the unveiling of the premium Mi 5S phone.

Aside from the supposed unveiling date, rumored variants of the Mate 9 phablet were posted on Weibo, detailing several RAM and internal storage configurations.

Unbox reported a week ago that the Huawei Mate 9 might be delayed until the last month of 2016, according to a Chinese industry analyst. Fortunately, for Huawei fans, the premium phablet’s unwrapping has been supposedly bumped a month earlier.

Here’s the updated spec sheet for the Huawei Mate 9. Not too many updates from the last time, so stay tuned for more details as we near its release window.

  • 4GB or 6GB RAM
  • 6-inch FHD IPS LCD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 64GB, 128GB or 256GB internal storage
  • 20-megapixel dual rear cameras, Leica optics, optical image stabilization
  • Cat.12 LTE support
  • Android 7.0 Nougat (EMUI 5.0)

The cheapest Huawei Mate 9 variant supposedly has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and will be priced at $475 (~Php 22.8K) and the version with 6GB RAM, 256GB storage will be pegged at $700 (~Php 33.5K).
