Huawei Teases P50 Pro Arrival in the Philippines

It has been almost 5 months since Huawei announced the P50 series in China. The brand has been quiet about its global availability until now, as Huawei Philippines teased on its official Facebook page that the P50 Pro is coming to our shores soon.

As Huawei’s 2021 flagship, the P50 Pro is powered by either a Kirin 9000 or Snapdragon 888 processor that is paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It boasts of a 6.6-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate, 300hz touch sampling rate, and a 1225 x 2700 display resolution. Like previous P-series models, the P50 Pro tour de force is its quad rear camera setup that is housed in two large circular camera modules.

Inside those modules are a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 40-megapixel f/1.6 dedicated monochrome camera, 13-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel f/3.5 periscope camera with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom. You also get Leica optics on the P50 Pro’s cameras, along with laser autofocus for the main camera and Huawei’s XD Fusion Pro for improved post-processing.

Huawei is expected to reveal more details about the price and availability of the P50 Pro in the Philippines, along with whether we are getting the Snapdragon or Kirin version.
