Aside from the Watch GT 5 series, HUAWEI is set to bring its groundbreaking Watch D2 to the Philippines soon. What makes the latest iteration of the Watch D significant is that it is the first HUAWEI smartwatch to offer Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), making it more accurate than its predecessor.
The ABPM feature of the Watch D2 gives you a 24-hour assessment of your blood pressure, which can help you have a clearer picture of your cardiovascular health. This is groundbreaking as hypertension is one of the most chronic diseases worldwide, with the WHO claiming an estimated 1.28 billion adults aged 30 to 79 have hypertension. In the Philippines, there’s a 37% hypertension prevalence among Filipinos, with only 27% having their condition under control.
Monitoring your blood pressure with the Watch D2 is easy with just a simple raise of your wrist. You can even schedule alerts as well to remind you to check your blood pressure once in a while, with the interval being programmable to intervals of 30 minutes. HUAWEI claims that the Watch D2 ensures over 70% effective readings in over 24 hours for comprehensive blood pressure monitoring.
The Watch D2 will be available in the Philippines on October 18 via Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, HUAWEI Online Store, and HUAWEI Experience Stores nationwide. Those who will pay a deposit of Php 1,000 from October 7 to October 13 will get Php 2000 off when they pay the balance from October 14 to October 20. Users can also collect vouchers on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok from October 5 to October 20 to get Php 1,000 off.
