Ahead of the official unveiling of the NOTE 40 Series, Infinix announces the launch of its first self-developed power management Cheetah X1 chip, which is part of the NOTE 40 series’ new All-Round FastCharge 2.0 tech.

An evolution of the All-Round FastCharge tech found in the NOTE 30 series, the Cheetah X1 combines three modules into one chip to serve as a backbone to All-Round FastCharge 2.0. The All-Round Support Module caters to eight scenarios that include up to 100w multi-speed wired charging, wireless charging, wired reverse charging, wireless reverse charging, bypass charging, AI charging protection for night charging, extreme-temp charging at up to -20°C, and multi-protocol charging.

The High-precision Power Monitor Module, on the other hand, detects current and voltage in real time and adjusts charging volume to ensure a balance between charging efficiency and temperature control. This is essential in protecting and maintaining battery life. Lastly, the Safety Module has 63 protection measures to cover nearly all potential unsafe charging scenarios.

With all of those modules found on the Cheetah X1, Infinix was able to reduce the chip size to one of the smallest designs available, with a processing efficiency being at an impressive 204% per unit. It took two years of research to design the Cheetah X1, and the unveiling of this chip shows Infinix’s hard work paying off.
