The Infinix GT 30 Pro Flexes 120FPS Gaming with its Features

Infinix made a buzz last year with the GT 20 Pro as one of the best midrange gaming phones in 2024. Infinix wants to keep that crown in 2025 with the GT 30 Pro, and we think Infinix has perfected the formula on making the ideal midrange gaming phone. After using it for a few weeks, we think that the GT 30 Pro is the midrange gaming phone to beat for 2025.

Starting with its design, Infinix went for a more subtle approach with the GT 30 Pro’s Mecha aesthetic. You still get customizable lighting at the back with the Mechanical Light Waves interface, but it looks more on the classy side than screaming “I’m a gamer!” kind of aesthetic. What looks like negative space on the GT 30 Pro’s back actually has a purpose: it is where you attach the MagCharge Cooler, which lets you both wirelessly charge the phone and provide additional cooling to let you enjoy long gaming sessions without any compromise.

Color options include our review unit in Shadow Ash, Blade White, and Dark Flare.

Combined with the MagCase, the GT 30 Pro can easily run titles like Mobile Legends, Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, and Call of Duty: Mobile at 120FPS in high graphics without any issue. It’s a smart design idea, as the MagCharge Cooler allows you both wirelessly charge the GT 30 Pro and play flawless 120FPS gaming all day.

We mentioned wireless charging, and yes: the GT 30 Pro has 30w wireless charging on top of 45w wired charging for its 5500mAh battery, which is a great set of features to have for a midrange phone. Planning to have long gaming sessions? You also get bypass charging to preserve battery life by powering the GT 30 Pro directly–be it through wired charging or wireless charging.

To make it an actual gaming phone, the GT 30 Pro has programmable GT triggers to let you have a more enjoyable gaming experience especially when playing competitive MOBA and fps titles. The flat AMOLED display has a 144hz refresh rate to keep your games running smooth–which is important especially if you play competitive matches. It’s also an upgrade over the one used with the GT 20 Pro as you get a higher 1.5k display resolution, a higher peak brightness of 4500nits, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

On top of all those gaming-focused features, the GT 30 Pro also has a solid set of internals with a Dimensity 8350 processor that’s paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. We’ve tried this setup on the NOTE 50 Pro+, and all the added features make the GT 30 Pro a proper midrange gaming phone. Complementing those powerful internals is Infinix’s self-developed 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Cooling (3DVCC) to help keep thermals stable at all times. Need additional cooling? You have the MagCharge Cooler to help you maintain your A-game during competitive matches.

With everything the GT 30 Pro has to offer, it does not come as a surprise that it’s the official gaming phone for MPL Season 16.
