Infinix Unveils 2024 Budget Line with HOT 40 Series

As it maintains its competitive nature, Infinix has unveiled its 2024 line of budget phones with the HOT 40 series. Infinix made changes to the variants under the series, where you get a HOT 40, HOT 40i, and a HOT 40 Pro–yes, this is the first time that the HOT 40 is getting a Pro model.

It’s safe to say that the HOT 40 Pro can be considered as a NOTE device, as it has features that include a Helio G99 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, a 120hz IPS display with a punch-hole for a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and a 108-megapixel main camera. While it also has a 5000mAh battery, the HOT 40 Pro settles for 33w charging–the current NOTE 30 comes with a faster 45w charging solution.

If you’re curious about the HOT 40 Pro’s display on Infinix’s official poster, the dynamic island-like area is Infinix’s Magic Ring, which is said to give you quick notifications on things like face lock status, charging status, and voice calls. Infinix has started rolling out this feature on the ZERO 30, and it seems that all of its phones will be getting the Magic Ring feature.

HOT 40i

If you are curious about the rest of the HOT 40 series, the HOT 40i comes with a Unisoc T606 processor, a 90hz HD+ display, and a 50-megapixel rear camera, while the standard HOT 40 gets a Helio G88 processor and a 90hz Full HD+ display.

Infinix said that the HOT 40 Pro will have a global price of $200, which translates to around Php 11k. Knowing the brand’s strategy, we expect to see the HOT 40 Pro be priced at under Php 8k since the ZERO 30 has an under Php 10k price in the Philippines–and its NOTE 30 doppelganger is priced at around Php 8k.
