The NOTE 30 series from Infinix have set a new benchmark when it comes to offering great value for money. We recently reviewed the NOTE 30 5G, and we were amazed at the incredible value it has to offer as a budget 5G device under Php 10k. Infinix has elevated that further with the NOTE 30 VIP. At an under Php 15k price point, the NOTE 30 VIP is a standout in its price segment because of its charging tech for its 5000mAh battery.

While the NOTE 30 5G highlighted Infinix’s AllRound FastCharge tech with its 45w wired charging, the VIP version takes things a notch by also offering fast wireless charging at an under Php 15k price point. We’ve been using the NOTE 30 VIP for a few weeks, and we’re impressed at the phone’s charging capabilities and all the security features Infinix implemented to ensure fast and safe charging.

 

68w wired charging speed

Most phones at the under Php 15k price point usually cap out at 40w wired charging, but the NOTE 30 VIP stands out with its 68w wired charging, which is the fastest for its segment. Infinix’s 68w wired charging solution is fast and efficient: with the NOTE 30 VIP’s 5000mAh battery, it took us roughly 40 minutes to fully charge the battery. Throughout the charging process, the NOTE 30 VIP barely felt warm, and the same can be said for the charger.

Outside of the included 68w charger, the NOTE 30 VIP is also compatible with USB-PD chargers as well. We tried using a 35w USB-PD charger with the NOTE 30 VIP, and we still enjoyed the relatively fast charging speeds–with the USB-PD charger we used, it took us a little over an hour to top up the NOTE 30 VIP’s 5000mAh battery, confirming that USB-PD charging does work as well.

 

50w wireless charging speed

The biggest game-changer with the NOTE 30 VIP is that it offers fast wireless charging–50w to be specific. Having this feature on an under Php 15k phone is an incredible feat by itself, and we’re simply amazed at Infinix adding this feature to the NOTE 30 VIP without severely compromising on other features.

While we don’t have a 50w wireless charging pad, we were able to try out the NOTE 30 VIP’s wireless charging feature with a 15w charging pad that’s included with our review unit. While it took a while to fully charge the NOTE 30 VIP wirelessly, we noticed that both the phone and charging pad did not get too warm–which is a typical challenge with wireless charging. This shows Infinix’s dedication to making its fast-charging solutions efficient and sustainable.

 

Bypass charging for long gaming sessions

Aside from fast wired and wireless charging, Infinix incorporated a unique feature for all of its NOTE 30 phones called bypass charging. With this feature, you can opt to literally power the NOTE 30 VIP by only using the wired charger that’s plugged into. This is a useful feature in preserving the battery’s life by preventing it to become too warm when you’re charging the NOTE 30 VIP AND playing games at the same time.

 

Stable temps even with heavy gaming

Speaking of gaming, the NOTE 30 VIP is a stable performer when it comes to playing games. Aside from excellent thermal management with its bypass charging solution, the NOTE 30 VIP is power efficient with its battery when we played intensive games like Genshin Impact. One of the biggest contributors to the NOTE 30 VIP’s excellent power efficiency is its use of a Dimensity 8050 processor, which is a 6nm processor that’s based on the already-good Dimensity 1300 that’s used on phones priced at above Php 20k.
