The NOTE 40 series consists of five models including the NOTE 40 Pro+ and NOTE 40 5G in the Philippines. While we’re waiting for the ZERO 40 series, Infinix decided to unveil a sixth NOTE 40 variant in Malaysia with the NOTE 40X.

Despite the name, the NOTE 40X looks more similar to the HOT 40 series, adding more to Infinix’s confusing phone lineup. The one that’s available in Malaysia comes with a 5G-ready Dimensity 6300 processor that’s paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Like the NOTE 40 5G, the NOTE 40X features a flat 6.78-inch 120hz display, stereo speakers, and a 108-megapixel main camera.
It’s a downgrade to the NOTE 40 5G as it only supports 18w wired charging for its 5000mAh battery, along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera and use of an IPS display–which explains why it settles for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It still comes with Android 14 out of the box, along with NFC connectivity
The Infinix NOTE 40X is priced at RM869 in Malaysia, or around Php 11k when converted. We don’t know if Infinix plans to bring this NOTE 40 variant to the Philippines, but we will not be surprised if the brand offers an under Php 10k early bird promo for it.
