Remember the ZERO 5G, which was announced early 2022? Infinix updates the Zero 5G for 2023 by swapping out the Dimensity 900 for a Dimensity 1080–all while having roughly the same dimensions and design. The 2023 version also has double the internal storage at 256GB–and is still UFS 3.1.
To recap, the Dimensity 1080 is an updated version of the Dimensity 900, where it gets a higher-clocked Cortex-A78 cores at 2.8Ghz, along with native support for 200-megapixel cameras. Speaking of the cameras, the ZERO 5G 2023 still has a triple rear camera setup, where you have a 50-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras. We find that underwhelming, as Infinix decided to ditch the telephoto camera found on the 2022 version.
Save for those differences, you still get a large 6.78-inch 120hz IPS display with a punch-hole for the 16-megapixel selfie shooter, along with 8GB RAM, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5000mAh battery with support for 33w charging, and Android 12-based XOS 12.
