iPhone 15 Series Might Catch Up with Android in Battery Capacity

One of the main criticisms about the iPhone 14 series–aside from using a dated Lightning port–is that they come with batteries that are smaller than most Android phones in the market. However, there’s promising news for the entire iPhone 15 series, as they will reportedly get a bigger battery capacity.

According to these reports, the iPhone 15 will have a 3877mAh battery, while the Plus model will get a beefier 4912mAh battery. The Pro model will have a 3600mAh battery, while the Pro Max will get a 4852mAh battery. For comparison, the iPhone 14 only came with a 3279 mAh battery, while the Plus model has a 4323mAh battery. The Pro has a 3200mAh battery, while the Pro Max has a 4323mAh battery.

Between the iPhone 15 and 14 series, the former gets at least a 400mAh bigger battery capacity than its predecessor, which should translate to significantly better battery life especially when paired with the upcoming A17 Bionic chip. This would be the next best thing that may happen to the iPhone 15 series other than the planned switch to USB-C.

If that’s not exciting enough, Apple might be making changes to the base storage capacity for at least the iPhone 15 Pro series, where 256GB will be the official base storage variant for both the Pro and Pro Max models. The vanilla iPhone 15 and Plus models, on the other hand, will reportedly still be available with 128GB as their base storage.
