The iPhone 17 Pro is getting this subtle design tweak

While we are months away from the launch of the iPhone 17 series–with the Pro models getting dual video recording–Apple might be making another design tweak other than the elongated camera module.

According to Majinbu, Apple will change the position of its logo in the back for the first time, moving it lower. The usual Apple user might not notice it, but here’s how the repositioned logo will look like compared to earlier leaked renders:

That’s how subtle the logo repositioning is.

I’m sure people would be bashing at why Apple had to make such change and make a big deal out of it, but Majinbu has a plausible explanation: with the camera module being bigger, it would mean that Apple has to reposition the wireless charging coil and MagSafe to properly charge the iPhone 17 Pro. In that regard, it’s logical for Apple to reposition the logo on the iPhone 17 Pro beyond just being a design tweak.

How MagSafe cases would look like with the repositioned logo

Because of this design tweak, case manufacturers are placing production of iPhone 17 Pro cases on hold, awaiting verification from reliable sources. This is to prevent significant losses on cases that won’t fit properly, and to ensure that existing MagSafe accessories will remain compatible.
