P20 Pro Still King As iPhone XS Max Falls Short On DxOMark

But the iPhone XS Max ranks higher than the HTC U12+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Apple’s latest iPhone just went through DxOMark, and the results are what one expects: with an overall score of 105, the iPhone XS Max performed well, beating the Galaxy Note 9 and U12+ by two points but still behind the P20 Pro, which is still DxOMark’s top-performing phone.

Upon a closer look at the iPhone XS Max’s scores, it performed much better than the iPhone X, especially in video recording. The iPhone XS Max improved significantly with its autofocus performance being one of the best in its class, along with improved color accuracy and exposure for both photo and video.

Other improvements with the iPhone XS Max compared to the iPhone X include a more effective image stabilization system and wide dynamic range especially in daylight shooting.
