There are similarities, but…
A few days ago, we teased about Cherry Mobile’s upcoming 18:9 display smartphones with the Flare S6 and S6 Plus. The initial reveal of the Flare S6 Plus got us impressed: Aside from an 18:9 display, it also has a quad cam setup.
That being said, we are raring to know what would be the possible spec sheet of the Flare S6 Plus. A few Cherry Mobile fans noted that the Flare S6 Plus has similarities to the Cubot X18 Plus.
The doppelgänger of the Flare S6 Plus, the X18 Plus does share a similar design. As for the specs, the X18 Plus comes with a MediaTek 6750T processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a 5.7-inch HD display. As for the cameras, it comes with a dual 20-megapixel + 5-megapixel setup for both the front and rear cameras, with the rear cameras sporting a dual LED flash.
While these are the confirmed specs for the X18 Plus, we cannot say that the same internals will be used on the Flare S6 Plus. Cherry Mobile may do some tweaks to make itself different from its doppelgänger. Maybe Cherry Mobile would use a Snapdragon processor on the Flare S6 Plus, just like what it did for the Flare X2 last year.

Whatever may be the case, we look forward to their October 12 launch to confirm the official specs of the Flare S6 Plus.
