After making waves with the value-packed S23+ last year, itel has silently announced the S24 on its global website.

While it appears to be more affordable with its use of a 6.6-inch 90hz HD+ display, it is the first phone to use a Helio G91 processor. This 4G-only processor is based on the Helio G85 and G88 but has an updated ISP that natively supports 108-megapixel cameras. This is why the S24 has a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM6 main camera with a bright f/1.6 aperture. You get features like 3x in-sensor zoom and street photography filters to help you be creative with your photos.
Making the S24 look distinct is its circular camera module, and its flat back panel comes in three colors. You get up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage, along with the same 5000mAh battery with 18w charging found on the S23+. It has support for bypass charging, which lets you power the S24 directly through the charger to preserve battery life.
The S24 comes with Android 13 out of the box, though itel did not indicate their upgrade commitment for it.
We don’t know how much the S24 will cost, but given that the S23+ was priced at Php 7k, we will not be surprised if itel will price the S24 at around Php 6k or even less.Â
