It retails for under 10K in India
Lenovo has recently taken the wraps off of two new budget smartphones in India: the K8 and K8 Plus. The K8 Plus leverages its affordable price and dual camera system to make it stand out in the market, and is billed to be the company’s most affordable dual-camera smartphone to date.

The K8 Plus carries a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor, which allows the phone to apply shallow depth of field effects to photos taken by the device. The phone has a 5.2-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, along with a MediaTek Helio P25 processor with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. There’s a large 4000mAh battery inside the device.
The K8 is an even more affordable option for people on a budget, armed with a 5.2-inch HD panel and MediaTek’s Helio P20 processor. It ditches the dual-camera setup though, settling for a single 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF. The phone still comes with a large 4000mAh battery.
What’s cool about these new phones is the fact that they receive the same stock Android treatment as the phones of Lenovo subsidiary Motorola, which means both devices come with Android 7.1.1 out of the box when bought, without any UI skin on top. The K8 Plus goes on sale in Flipkart in India for a measly INR 10,999 or Php 8.7K. The K8 has no pricing as of yet.
