Meizu announced its latest flagship phone in China with the Meizu 18 series. Comprising of a vanilla model and a Pro model, both versions come with a Snapdragon 888 processor and a curved front glass.

Both phones are of flagship caliber, with the vanilla Meizu 18 acting as a compact flagship of sorts. Key differences between the two involve the display size, cameras, battery, and charging speeds. While both phones do have a Quad HD+ display with 120hz refresh rate and 240hz touch sampling rate, the Meizu 18 goes for a 6.2-inch panel while its Pro sibling gets a bigger 6.7-inch panel.
For the cameras, both phones get an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom–which is definitely. must-have for any flagship phone. The Pro model has a 50-megapixel f/1.9 Samsung GN1 main camera and 32-megapixel f/2.2 Sony IMX616 ultra-wide-angle camera, while the vanilla model settles for a 64-megapixel f/1.6 Sony IMX582 main camera and 16-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, you get a 44-megapixel module on the Meizu 18 Pro and a 20-megapixel snapper on the vanilla model.
As for the battery, the Pro model gets a 4500mAh cell with 40w wired charging and 10w reverse wireless charging, while the vanilla Meizu 18 gets a smaller 4000mAh battery with 36w wired charging.
Meizu 18 Philippines Price
While it has been a while since Meizu brought over a flagship phone to our shores (the last Meizu flagship being the Meizu 16), the Meizu 18 series will go on sale in China on March 8. The Meizu 18 is priced at CNY 4399(~Php 33.1k), CNY 4699(~Php 35.3k), and CNY 4999(~Php 35.6k) for the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB variants respectively. The Meizu 18 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 4999(~Php 35.6k), CNY 5499(~Php 41.4k), and CNY 5999(~Php 45.1k) for the same set of variants.
