Aluminum Chassis
The new info we have though is pretty exciting! According to MyPhone, the Iceberg doesn’t go the glossy plastic route when it comes to the body. Instead it will have an aluminum chassis making it one of the most premium looking and feeling local branded phablets! Since we’re big fans of good design and quality materials here at Unbox, we can’t help but be excited to get our hands on this for review!
Clever Motion
Other than the aluminum chassis, MyPhone also announced Clever Motion. This is a feature which lets you control the device using motion gestures. This includes the ff:
- Wave to Capture Image
- Wave to DIM (Off screen)
- Clever Dial
- Flip to Mute
It’s a bit gimmicky but still appreciated. 🙂
TARA and Wireless Display
Other unique features announced for the MyPhone Iceberg include the Theft Apprehension and Asset Recovery Application (TARA). This is a built-in app that will remotely disable the Iceberg and delete your data should it be stolen from you. According to MyPhone this is a pinoy-made app and it will be exclusive to MyPhone devices.
Lastly, MyPhone also announced that they’re working on an accessory which will allow you to wirelessly display the content of your MyPhone Iceberg to your TV. More details on this soon.
