OnePlus 10 Pro Cameras Are Underwhelming According to DxOMark

With OnePlus further strengthening its partnership with Hasselblad, one would expect that the 10 Pro will have flagship-grade cameras that are fitting for 2022 standards. However, that does not seem to be the case for DxOMark in their camera review of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

With an overall score of 127, the global rankings of DxOMark places the OnePlus 10 Pro right behind the iPhone 12 Pro, vivo X60 Pro+, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 11 Pro. All four flagships are at least a year older than the OnePlus 10 Pro, with the Mi 10 Pro being two years old.

Where did the OnePlus 10 Pro fall short? Despite having high-resolution main and ultra-wide-angle cameras, DxOMark noticed color artifacts in photos shot by either camera in low light, along with white balance issues and lack of detail (in videos) with the ultra-wide-angle camera.

Despite those disadvantages, the OnePlus 10 Pro has its fair share of advantages like its excellent dynamic range when shooting in broad daylight and indoors, along with minimal noise and excellent performance for its telephoto camera. OnePlus is not really known for camera performance, and its partnership with Hasselblad is not yet enough for the brand to go head-to-head against the top contenders for flagship phones in the camera department.
