Aside from the global unveiling of the OnePlus 13, the brand also unveiled the more affordable 13R as well. While it was initially speculated to be a rebranded Ace 5, the 13R gets a better camera setup.
On the 13R, you get a 50-megapixel LYT700 main camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN5 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and 4x lossless digital zoom. You still get the same 8-megapixel ultrawide and 16-megapixel selfie shooters found on the Ace 5.
Like the Ace 5, the 13R is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor that’s paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, and comes with OxygenOS 15 out of the box. OnePlus promises four major OS updates and 6 years of security patches on the 13R. You get a smaller 6000mAh battery on the 13R, but you retain the same 80w SuperVOOC charging.
You also get an IP65 rating, an aluminum frame, and a 6.78-inch 120hz LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of 4500nits.
The OnePlus 13R is priced at $600(~Php 36k), and it will be available in several markets. We expect Digital Walker to reveal official pricing and availability of the 13R in the Philippines soon.
