OnePlus Announces Buds Z2 in China with ANC

Aside from the 9RT, Oneplus also revealed their latest TWS earbuds in China with the Buds Z2. Replacing the Buds Z, the Buds Z2 gets a number of upgrades like ANC, support for Dolby Atmos, and up to 38 hours battery life with ANC off.

The Buds Z2 comes with 11mm dynamic drivers and pairs over Bluetooth 5.2. Like the Buds Z, they have support for AAC and SBC codecs and offer Fast Pair when they are paired with a OnePlus 6 or newer phone. They also come with 94ms low latency mode for gaming and binging TV shows.

The addition of ANC is the headline feature of the Buds Z2. OnePlus claims that it can block up to 40db of outside noises with the three microphones found on each earbud. The Buds Z2 have an IP55 rating, while the case has an IPx4 rating. Breaking down the battery life, the Buds Z2 can last for up 7 hours with ANC off and up to 5 hours with ANC on. You still get Warp Charge on the Buds Z2, where you get 5 hours of listening time from a 10-minute charge.

OnePlus Buds Z2 Price

The Buds Z2 will retail for CNY 499 (~Php 4k), with first sales happening in China on October 19. There’s no word yet on international availability, but we expect OnePlus to make them available globally unlike the 9RT.
