OPPO silently announced a new A series model in Vietnam with the A60. Meant to succeed the A58 4G, the A60 now gets a Snapdragon 680 processor that’s paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage (the A58 used eMMC 5.1 storage). While the Snapdragon 680’s performance is almost similar to the A58’s Helio G85, this processor is better when it comes to battery life.
The A60 retains the same 5000mAh battery, but now supports 45w wired charging, which is faster than OPPO’s older 33w charging used on a number of A series phones. The cameras remain the same from the A58: 50-megapixel main, 2-megapixel depth, and 8-megapixel selfie–but the A60 gets a lower-resolution display at HD+. However, you get a 90hz refresh rate and retain the stereo speaker setup and headphone jack.
The A60 comes with Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0.1 out of the box, and IP54 rating, and utilizes a design language that similar to the Reno11 F.
Here are the OPPO A60 variants that’s available in Vietnam:
- 8GB/128GB – VND 5,490,000(~Php 13k)
- 8GB/256GB – VND 6,490,000(~Php 15k)
Given that the A58 made its way to the Philippines, we expect OPPO to bring the A60 to our shores soon.
