Barely a year after the A97 5G was announced–with the phone not being made available in the Philippines, it seems that OPPO is set to unveil the A98 5G very soon, as a poster revealing all of its key specs was revealed.
The detailed spec sheet revealed more details about the A98 5G, with its design very reminiscent of the Reno8 T 5G except that it has a flat 6.72-inch 120hz IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution. Because it uses an IPS panel, the A98 5G comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead.
It’s similar to the Reno8 T 5G, as the A98 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor that’s paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The A98 5G does get a slightly bigger 5000mAh battery than the Reno8 T 5G and retains the same 67w SuperVOOC wired charging solution. You also get a 32-megapixel selfie shooter that’s housed in a punch-hole, though the A98 5G uses a lower-resolution 64-megapixel main camera. According to the specs sheet poster, the A98 5G will also have the same 2-megapixel microlens that is found on the Reno8 T series.
There’s no word yet on the launch date and pricing, but should OPPO bring the A98 5G to the Philippines, we expect it to be priced below Php 20k.
