Nothing’s Exclusive Phone is Limited to 25 Units

After working on the much-awaited Community Edition Project, Nothing has formally unveiled the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition as its first co-created product made in collaboration between the Nothing team and some of its most talented followers.

This unique co-creation project involved from the hardware to wallpapers, down to the packaging and marketing. It is also Nothing’s approach towards a different way of creating products for its community.

Winners Astrid Vanhuyse & Kenta Akasaki, Andrés Mateos, Ian Henry Simmonds and Sonya Palma, collaborated closely with Nothing’s Design Studio, Creative, Brand and Marketing teams in London to further refine their winning concepts. The result of this collaboration between theNothing team and the community is Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition, a glow-in-the-dark interpretation of the popular Phone (2a) Plus called “Phosphorescence”.

The concept makes use of green-tinted phosphorescent material, which emits a soft glow in dark environments and requires no power source to work. For the wallpaper, a mix of AI tools and digital design was used to create the “Connected Collection” that consists of six exclusive wallpapers.

The packaging concept is a reinterpretation of Nothing’s “Less is More” concept, where, the final packaging includes reflective elements which glow in dark environments to complement the winning hardware design’s glow-in-the-dark concept.

Nothing will produce only 1,000 units of Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition, and the Philippines will only be allotted 25 units, which will be available at at first-come first-served basis from November 16 at Nothing’s store in Shopee for Php 24,990.
