POCO Shutting Down Global Website

POCO Shutting Down Global Website

In a surprise move from POCO, they have announced that they will shut down their global website by December 31, 2024 as part of its plans “to provide a wider range of products and greater services to all fans of the POCO brand.”

With this development, POCO said that everything related to their products will be transferred to Xiaomi’s mi.com domain. POCO ensures all customers that all items purchased on their website or their store app will still receive customer and aftersales support from Xiaomi.

Before you panic, this development does not mean that POCO will cease to exist–it will still be part of Xiaomi just like how Redmi is part of it. What can possibly change is that POCO might no longer be a brand that’s independent from Xiaomi. While POCO became an independent brand back in 2020, its recent releases are essentially global versions of Xiaomi phones that were launched in China.

Some examples of this include the POCO X6 Pro–which is also known as the Redmi K70e in China. The same goes for the POCO F6 Pro, which is essentially a global version of the Redmi K70. Other examples include the POCO F5 (aka Remdi Turbo 3) and POCO Pad (aka Redmi Pad Pro). There are a few exceptions like the POCO X6, which is a Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G with a downgraded main camera.
