The brand is now a master of its own destiny
The Pocophone F1 was one of the best affordable flagships when it launched two years ago, catapulting the Xiaomi sub-brand into stardom.
And nearly two years after their first device, the sub-brand is now being spun off by Xiaomi into its own brand.
Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!
What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.

Pocophone joins Xiaomi’s former brand Redmi as an independent entity, capable of plotting its own course without having to depend on its mother brand.
The news comes at the heels of the possibility of a follow-up device to the F1, as a trademark application for the Pocophone F2 popped up recently. It seems we’ll finally be seeing a Pocophone F2 this 2020.
