Razer’s Project Linda Is A Notebook Dock For Their Phone

It’s less ambitious than Valerie

Razer has a habit of announcing revolutionary, off the wall tech concepts during CES. They’re the ones that unveiled a triple-screened notebook last year after all (which was promptly stolen off of the show floor). The company has dialed back a little bit on the craziness this year though, and has instead announced a new laptop dock for their recently launched smartphone.

Dubbed Project Linda, the new device is a 13.3-inch laptop dock that their phone plugs into. The dock itself has a USB-A port, USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and 53.6 Wh battery along with 200GB of on-board storage.

As you plug in the Razer phone into Project Linda, it becomes the touchpad, allowing it to display supplemental information in games and apps.

While the phone is plugged into the notebook, it functions like a normal phone should, accepting calls, messages and other notifications.

To be clear, Project Linda is simply a working prototype and a design concept, and is nowhere near being an actual product.
