After confirming that the realme GT 2 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the brand revealed more details about their upcoming premium flagship device, highlighting three new key features.

realme is also pushing for sustainability, and the GT 2 Pro will feature a paper-inspired design that has a minimalist look and is focused on sustainability. Naoto Fukasawa, who was also the man behind the luggage-inspired vegan leather back of the GT Master Edition, is in charge of designing the GT 2 Pro’s back panel.

The back cover will use a bio-polymer material that serves as an eco-friendly alternative to fossil raw materials. Aside from the phone itself, realme said that they redesigned the box to reduce the overall plastic ratio from 21.7% to 0.3%.

One of the major features of the realme GT 2 Pro is that it will come with a class-leading ultra-wide-angle camera with a 150-degree FoV. This wide FoV is 278% more expansive than the GT 2 Pro’s main camera, which has an FoV of 84-degrees.

Aside from having a class-leading ultra-wide-angle camera, the GT 2 Pro boasts a fisheye mode to produce a strong perspective or an ultra-long depth of field of effect. It is one of the first phones to have a dedicated fisheye mode, giving content creators an added layer of creativity when producing content.

5G is the name of the game moving forward, and realme redesigned the GT 2 Pro’s antennas with HyperSmart ultra-wide-band antenna switching technology, WiFi enhancer, and 360-degree NFC.

The GT 2 Pro’s HyperSmart tech comprises 12 wrap-around antennas covering all sides of the phone, letting it switch antennas depending on which one offers the best possible signal. The top two antennas come with an NFC transceiver, allowing up to a 500% increase in sensing area and up to 20% increase in sensing distance for NFC-related tasks.
