As we wait for the official launch of the GT5 on August 28, realme has revealed the official design for it, which appears to be more streamlined than the GT3. This time around, the camera bump has a better, more seamless integration on the back panel. As for the design of the GT5, realme CEO Wu Qi Chase describes the back panel using a “breakthrough glass technology in the mobile industry”, while the colorway revealed is called “Flowing Silver Mirror” for its mirror-like finish.
You still get the same two rings that house a triple rear camera setup, along with an LED lighting system beside it that highlights the use of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Looking close to the text beside the cameras, we expect the GT5 to have OIS on the main camera. For configuration options, the GT5 is expected to be available at up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Like the GT3, the GT5 will have 240w charging that’s accompanied by a dedicated SuperVOOC S power management chip. There will also be a 150w variant as well, which will carry a bigger 5240mAh battery. As for the display, the GT5 will have a 1.5K resolution, for its curved AMOLED display, along with a 144hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and ProXDR tech.
realme is expected to reveal more details about the GT5 on August 28, and it remains to be seen if it will be accompanied by a more powerful Pro model.
