After it went official in Thailand last June, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi 12 will be made available in the Philippines on September 20. In its teaser photo, we are expected to get the 4G version of the Redmi 12 in white –though the blue and black colorways are expected to be made available in the Philippines as well.

To recap, the Redmi 12 is powered by a Helio G88 processor that is paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. It comes with a premium glass back that has three individual modules for the cameras–a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery with 18w charging.

While it is a budget device, the Redmi 12 gets an upgrade with its display, where you have a 6.79-inch Full HD+ panel with a 90hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Other features of the Redmi 12 include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 rating, and Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
