After the Dimensity 1080 was announced, Xiaomi became the first brand to use the new mid-range chip with the Redmi Note 12 Pro series. The lineup consists of the Pro, Pro+, and Discovery Edition, and they all come with OIS on the main camera, stereo speakers, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate.
The base Pro model has a 50-megapixel IMX 766 main camera and comes with a 5000mAh battery with 67w charging. The Pro+, on the other hand, upgrades the main camera with a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HMX sensor, and the charging speed is faster at 120w.
The Discovery Edition stands out by having the fastest charging speed on a smartphone with 210w charging. To make up for such speeds, the Extreme Edition comes with a smaller 4300mAh battery, which can be topped up in just 9 minutes.

The Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition is priced CNY 2399 (~Php 19.3k) for the 8GB/256GB variant, while the Pro+ is priced at CNY 2099 (~Php 16.9k) for the same variant. The Redmi Note 12 Pro, on the other hand, starts at CNY 1699 yuan (~Php 13.7k) for the 6GB/128GB variant. All three models are exclusive to China for now, but Xiaomi hints at a global release in the later months.
