Rumored to coincide with the launch of Apple’s iPhone 8

While we barely know any details on Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 2, save for a concept video from Phillipe Starck and rumors of the phone sporting an insane 95% screen-to-body ratio, we now know its possible launch date and how the phone’s back panel will look like.

According to leaks, the Mi MIX 2 is set to launch on September 12–the same day when Apple is rumored to launch the iPhone 8. In addition, a Weibo leak revealed what has to be the Mi MIX 2’s back panel.

Clad in white, the back panel has two holes for a dual rear camera setup or single rear camera and fingerprint scanner setup, and holes for a USB port and stereo speaker grilles at the case’s bottom. We’re not sure about the case’s material, but rumors point to it being made of ceramic, just like the first Mi MIX. Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 835 Processor, as much as 8GB RAM, up to 256GB internal storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3400mAh battery.
