Galaxy A25 Starts at Php 16k in the Philippines

Following its announcement in Vietnam last December 12, Samsung Philippines has revealed the official price of the Galaxy A25, which starts at Php 15,990 for the 6GB/128GB model. For Php 3k more or Php 18,990, you can get the Galaxy A25 in the 8GB/256GB variant.

For its asking price, the Galaxy A25 comes with a 6.5-inch 120hz Super AMOLED display with a notch for a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The triple rear camera setup is decent for its price, as you get a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy A25 is slightly raised thanks to Samsung’s new “Key Island” design language.

Compared to last year’s Galaxy A24, the Galaxy A25 uses a 5G-ready Exynos 1280 processor that offers a significant upgrade over the Helio G99. We had mixed thoughts on the Exynos 1280 last year, but we hope Samsung has addressed all of the kinks with the Galaxy A25.

Just like the majority of Galaxy A-series phones, you get a 5000mAh battery that supports 25w charging, along with a wide software support that consists of 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates–which is the best you can get on a mid-range phone.

While the asking price of the Galaxy A25 in the Philippines is Php 1k higher than the Galaxy A24 last year, the tradeoff is worth it with the processor upgrade alone–and the fact that you get 5G connectivity as well.
