While we have seen renders and partial specs of the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G, we know that a 4G model is also in the works. Recently WinFuture has revealed its alleged official specs, along with official colors that includes a new pastel purple option.
WinFuture’s post of the renders don’t reveal any pattern on the back like with the Galaxy A71, though things are not yet final for now. Going to the specs, the Galaxy A72 4G is receiving notable upgrades compared to its predecessor. For starters, it is getting an IP67 rating, which was last seen with the Galaxy A8 (2018). As for the display, the Galaxy A72 4G will have the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a centrally-placed punch hole, though it will get a faster 90hz refresh rate.
Going to the rear cameras, the Galaxy A72 4G will also have a 64-megapixel main rear camera and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera like the Galaxy A71. However, the Galaxy A72 4G will reportedly get an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x zoom and a 2-megapixel macro camera–which is better than the pair of 5-megapixel cameras (one for macro shots, one for depth sensing) found on its predecessor.
For the internals, the Galaxy A72 4G will get a Snapdragon 720G processor . A Geekbench listing reveals that it will come with 8GB RAM, though WinFuture said that there will also be a 6GB variant as well. For the battery, the Galaxy A72 4G will get a bigger 5000mAh battery, along with 25w wired charging and the required charger included in the box.
As for pricing, the Galaxy A72 4G will be priced at 449 Euros(~Php 26.2k) though expect it to be cheaper when it becomes official in the Philippines. As for the 5G version of the Galaxy A72, we expect that its will have practically the same specs save for the Snapdragon 750 processor powering it.
