After it was revealed globally last December, Samsung Philippines announces the official availability and price of the entry-level Galaxy Tab A8.

To recap, Samsung’s latest entry-level tablet has a 10.5-inch screen with slim bezels and a familiar 16:10 aspect ratio, making it versatile for use for both work and play. Audio is provided by a quad-speaker system that has support for Dolby Atmos. Powering the Galaxy Tab A8 is a Unisoc Tiger T618 processor, which Samsung says delivers up to 10% better overall performance than its predecessor.
You also get more RAM this time at 4GB, along with either 64GB (WiFi) or 128GB (LTE) of expandable storage. Keeping the lights on is a 7040mAh battery that has support for 15w charging. For the cameras, you get an 8-megapixel rear snapper with autofocus and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper for video calls.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 will be available starting January 11 at Php 13,990 for the 64GB WiFi model, and Php 18,990 for the 128GB LTE model. Those buying from January 11 to February 28 will get a book cover for those purchasing the LTE variant, and a Clear Edge cover for those purchasing the WiFi-only variant.
